Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SECISBP2L RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SECISBP2L’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where SECISBP2L RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SECISBP2L is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where SECISBP2L tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
