Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SDSL mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SDSL data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher SDSL mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SDSL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where SDSL mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
