Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SDR9C7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of SDR9C7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where SDR9C7 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types SDR9C7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUSC, KIRC, and READ are the cancer types where SDR9C7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
