Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SDR16C5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SDR16C5 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher SDR16C5 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SDR16C5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.
KIRC, PAAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where SDR16C5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
