Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCT mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SCT data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher SCT mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
GBM, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where SCT mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
