Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCP2D1-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 14 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SCP2D1-AS1 data layer compared with 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SCP2D1-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCP2D1-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where SCP2D1-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
