Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCNN1G RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SCNN1G data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SCNN1G RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCNN1G expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and LUAD show a favorable association.
SKCM, KIRC, and LGG are the cancer types where SCNN1G RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
