Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SCD data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher SCD Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD, SKCM, and PRAD are the cancer types where SCD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
