Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCAT8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SCAT8 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SCAT8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCAT8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LUSC show a favorable association.

HNSC, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where SCAT8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
