Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCARB2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SCARB2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher SCARB2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCARB2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where SCARB2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
