Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SCAF1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SCAF1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SCAF1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SCAF1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and SCLC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LIHC, and LUAD are the cancer types where SCAF1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
