Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SC5D Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SC5D data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher SC5D Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SC5D expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and STAD show a favorable association.
UCEC, LUSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where SC5D Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
