Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SASS6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SASS6 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher SASS6 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SASS6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

LSCC, PDAC, and HNSC are the cancer types where SASS6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
