Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SARAF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SARAF data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SARAF Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SARAF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where SARAF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
