Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAMD1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SAMD1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher SAMD1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAMD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and GBM show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where SAMD1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
