Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAMD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAMD1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher SAMD1 Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAMD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SCLC show a favorable association.
SCLC and PRAD are the cancer types where SAMD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
