Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAFB2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAFB2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher SAFB2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAFB2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, LGG, and STAD are the cancer types where SAFB2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
