Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAFB RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated SAFB data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher SAFB RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAFB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and PAAD show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRP, and LIHC are the cancer types where SAFB RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
