Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, SAFB mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated SAFB data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher SAFB mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated SAFB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and COAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where SAFB mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
