Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A7L2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of S100A7L2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where S100A7L2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types S100A7L2 is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where S100A7L2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
