Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated S100A16 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher S100A16 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100A16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and PRAD are the cancer types where S100A16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
