Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A14 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated S100A14 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher S100A14 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated S100A14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CHOL and THCA show a favorable association.
PAAD, SCLC, and ACC are the cancer types where S100A14 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
