Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, S100A11P9 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of S100A11P9’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where S100A11P9 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types S100A11P9 is over-expressed in tumor.
HNSC, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where S100A11P9 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
