Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RTN4R RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RTN4R data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher RTN4R RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RTN4R expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LGG and SCLC show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and HNSC are the cancer types where RTN4R RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
