Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RTL1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RTL1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher RTL1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RTL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

KIRP, UCEC, and ACC are the cancer types where RTL1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
