Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RSU1P1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RSU1P1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RSU1P1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RSU1P1 is over-expressed in tumor.
KIRC, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where RSU1P1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
