Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPSAP40 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPSAP40’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RPSAP40 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPSAP40 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where RPSAP40 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
