Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS6P23 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS6P23’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RPS6P23 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS6P23 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, PRAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where RPS6P23 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
