Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS4X Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPS4X data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher RPS4X Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPS4X expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
THCA, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where RPS4X Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
