Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS2P36 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS2P36’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RPS2P36 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS2P36 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where RPS2P36 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
