Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS2P16 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS2P16’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPS2P16 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS2P16 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, HNSC, and READ are the cancer types where RPS2P16 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
