Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS29P8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS29P8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPS29P8 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS29P8 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, BLCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where RPS29P8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
