Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS27P22 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS27P22’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where RPS27P22 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS27P22 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, BRCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where RPS27P22 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
