Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS27P18 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS27P18’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPS27P18 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS27P18 is over-expressed in tumor.
THCA are the cancer types where RPS27P18 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
