Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS26P28 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS26P28’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPS26P28 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS26P28 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD and READ show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, PAAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where RPS26P28 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
