Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS26 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS26’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where RPS26 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS26 is over-expressed in tumor.
LIHC, KIRC, and CHOL are the cancer types where RPS26 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
