Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS24P14 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS24P14’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPS24P14 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS24P14 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where RPS24P14 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
