Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS15AP15 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS15AP15’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RPS15AP15 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS15AP15 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD and ESCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, PAAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where RPS15AP15 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
