Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPS10P21 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPS10P21’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RPS10P21 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPS10P21 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA and BRCA are the cancer types where RPS10P21 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
