Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPLP1P13 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPLP1P13’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RPLP1P13 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPLP1P13 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, COAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where RPLP1P13 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
