Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPL8 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,392 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPL8-associated genes across cancer lineages are SEPTIN7P14, PPM1A, and ANKRD12. Each is linked with RPL8 in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPL8-to-partner and partner-to-RPL8 results are reported.
