Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL7P35 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL7P35’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RPL7P35 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL7P35 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP and KICH are the cancer types where RPL7P35 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
