Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL6P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL6P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RPL6P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL6P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, THCA, and BRCA are the cancer types where RPL6P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
