Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL5 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPL5 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher RPL5 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPL5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

CCRCC, GBM, and COAD are the cancer types where RPL5 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
