Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPL5 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 25,372 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPL5-associated genes across cancer lineages are JAM2, GPIHBP1, and SEPTIN4. Each is linked with RPL5 in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPL5-to-partner and partner-to-RPL5 results are reported.
