Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL39P39 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL39P39’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RPL39P39 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL39P39 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LUSC, and THCA are the cancer types where RPL39P39 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
