Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL39P28 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RPL39P28’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RPL39P28 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RPL39P28 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, COAD, and THCA are the cancer types where RPL39P28 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
