Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL39 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPL39 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher RPL39 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPL39 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and HNSC show a favorable association.

LSCC, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where RPL39 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
