Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RPL38 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RPL38 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher RPL38 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RPL38 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

GBM, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where RPL38 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
