Across TCGA patient cohorts, RPL38 mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 19 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible RPL38-associated genes across cancer lineages are A2ML1-AS2, OR14A16, and MIRLET7C. Each is linked with RPL38 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both RPL38-to-partner and partner-to-RPL38 results are reported.
